Mastering Lower Back Pain

Assessment and Introductions:

Lumbar Instability Course Viewing Guide

In this video we look at what is the primary source of pain in the case of lumbar instability.

To be specific:

I might have been a bit imprecise when I told you about 4 broad categories of lower back pain in my assessment videos. Lumbar instability sets itself apart because there's a clear way to understand it and deal with its symptoms, however it's still in fact part of the broader family of non-specific lower back pain (NSLBP). This is why you'll find a lot of tools in this course that would help in the case of NSLBP but remember that in the case of lumbar instability, sub-acute tools will be MORE helpful and stretches and range of motion exercises will be less useful (there should be less movement in the joints (mobility), and rather more control).

Other factors that could contribute still contribute to symptoms, such as muscle tension, muscle strength and chronic lower back pain risk, like any NSLBP.
